House Exterior
The exterior of the house was redone with new stucco and added insulation on the front and sides of the house. The existing brick on the sides and back of the house was painted with a high-grade mineral paint that calcifies to the surface of brick creating a durable but most importantly, a breathable surface. The beauty of brick for house facades is its ability to absorb water and then dry out again. Common acrylic paints trap moisture and erode brick over time, unlike mineral paint, which is also extremely strong, naturally mold resistant, and toxin free. The new cedar siding was primed with oil primer and then painted with Benjamin Moore high-grade Aura paint. The new metal fascia and soffits give the home a clean, finished, contemporary look.
